Giving Thanks….
Thursday, November 27th, 2014Veteran’s Day
Tuesday, November 11th, 2014On this day, and every day, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to all Veterans.
Becoming involved with Got Your 6 has given me a proactive forum to pledge ongoing support for Veterans. I invite you to visit their website and learn more about what this wonderful organization is about.
Thank you

Saturday, November 8th, 2014I love to collect leaves, flowers and twigs whenever I am out and about. No wonder, as I have a great affection for anything botanical.
I am very good about coming home and pressing my new found treasures in wax paper in between big book pages to dry. Truth be told, I am not as good about putting my gifts from nature into a collage. My books were beginning to be stuffed, so it was time to play.
This is a new piece I did from a great walk on Vashon Island in Washington….some roses and wild flowers.
I have had a favorite old letter for quite some time…it happens to be dated on my birthday, October 19th..sweet stroke of luck!
Always a sucker for a beautiful rose bush, I had to add a classic touch.
Fall is such a wonderful time of year to collect turning leaves and faded bits of summer. Today’s batch is drying…with a promise from me that they will be rescued and created with, before too long.
Happy Fall!
